It looks cool but in case of a crash - cars back than were really not safe, this kid had little chance of survival. On the other hand - there was less traffic, slower speed so fewer accidents as well.

Were there also less illigal spics who got their license literally gifted to them?

(no actually asking)

Is... is this that white supremacy I've heard so much about??

Pretty cool how that old timey car seat had an iPad holder

My car seat, early seventies, was all chrome tubular steel with cheap thin foam padding wrapped in cheaper dark green plastic, not even decent vinyl. My little brother used it six years later.

Wasn't as many high niggers, drunk spics, and tiktocing zoomers on the road.

I had something like that. I used to ride in the rear window too.

80's kid... we used to ride in the back of a pickup all the time, lay in the back seat, play with toys on the floor of the car, or even in the back window when I was smaller. Some people even had chairs in the back of the truck for kids to sit in. There were fewer people then, no cell phones, and people generally weren't in a hurry. I actually remember when the government started recommending that kids wear a seat belt and my mom made us do it before it was mandatory, I was quite annoyed. I'm somewhat sad that my children will know War instead of these times. but it has to be done.

It always starts with a recommendation. doesn't it.

And then you are shipped to the gulaga.

My little brother had one a whole lot like that!

I just flew around like loose cargo in the back seat when my mom was driving. My dad drove like a normal person, so I could mostly stay in one place with him at the wheel.

I was the youngest of 10, born in the early 50s. All our outings were mom and dad in the front and all us kids in the back of the pickup.

So THAT's how you got all gimpy!

[ - ] gimpyoldman 3 points 3.0 yearsMay 21, 2022 20:36:38 ago (+3/-0)

Nah, but one time we had some lumber in the back and we played pirate and had one of my brothers 'walk the plank'. Fortunately we weren't going very fast when we got off the plank and he tumbled down the road. the same brother that got convinced to jump out the second story window with an umbrella for a parachute.

Dang. He must be even GIMPIER!

I wasn't stupid enough to use an umbrella. I built a "hangglider" out of sticks and newspaper. You all know how it worked out.
