I think they can access your bank/credit card and take money out if you lost a claim (put you in the red doesn't matter, they'll take the money). They can't take postage costs though, just the value of the item in dispute.
Claims might be handled differently from other things though which have more protection, but even then we're seeing it doesn't.
Amazing they're still able to get away with this scam, it's been like 2 decades now. Wasn't there even a bunch of elites complaining about them in wikileaks emails?
