It isn't a good theology or a good interpretation of Christ. Christ was not just a passive man that said he was righteous because he let his enemies kill him.
This is not the significance of the crucifixion, and it is not the message of Christ to all Christians that they should do what he did - in a literal sense - to achieve salvation.
