Grandpa went bald at 19, thankfully that shit missed me by a wide mile. I shaved bald on each deployment though, it's the way to go for sure in that environment. Sandy, sweaty, dirty hair ain't worth the effort of keeping.

I had unruly hair that hipsters would give all their lattes for. The haircut they'd spend hundreds of dollars to get I had naturally. When I shaved completely I got treated a thousand times better. Before I looked like a teenager well into my thirties and after people were holding doors for me, calling me sir and women were much more responsive.

shaving your head not only makes you look more mature and responsible, it looks like you don't give a fuck and that turns women on.

In gaelic, the word for bald is maol / maoil but the word also refers to a hill or mound and it also can mean a servant/slave or religious acolyte. Slaves heads were shaved in at some point in Ireland, and during the early christian period, fervant christians and monks shaved their heads in tonsures which is probably why the word for bald is also used for a servant or monk or religious follower. The word became incorporated in to many gaelic names such as Malcolm and O’Malley and Mulligan.

These names could be grounds for a sexual harassment case especially when applied to a bald man.
