I run an old version of FF on android so that i can use the old extensions (uMatrix). bitchute doesn't work on it, maybe it is related.

the best part is that their search doesn't search the video's url, so you can't even find the video you want in their app using the hash from the url.

It might be. Sites refusing to work just because they were handed a UA they don't like is exactly what I'm talking about.

If the browser is really old it might also be some javascript feature compatibility.

Sites don't need your UA. I run sites so I would know. There is nothing honest or decent I could do with that data besides a few things related to bots and crawlers. But if you aren't one of them I have no reasonable need for your data, and it would just be bad programming to build a site whose backend needs to know that to have the site function properly. No legitimate purpose. It's time to drop the UAs.

I'm running FaggotFox 68.12 (latest that I can get to run on my older Linux OS) and can still get extensions normally (like uBlock Origin and NoScript).

FF for android only has about 10 plugins and those 2 are in the list. I prefer umatrix to noscript because of the shit noscript has pulled in the past, and i haven't looked into if they have changed their ways.

That should have some presets for firefox. The problem is not all firefox UAs are the same. There are hundreds of common ones. My argument is that we want to start looking more the same rather than different and to stop apologizing for that. So switching to a common Firfox UA would be a work around. Going to nothing or as generic as you can get is a protest.

edit: if anyone is concerned that this information is inaccurate because I have a downvote, just fyi, I have a downvote stalker. It's just one guy so if you see a -1 on me it's basically a zero. Retard thinks I'm AOU or some shit like that.

I would rather suffer through random bad actors being a 'downvote stalker' than to put up with AOU's BS. He nuked my account over there because I up voted content he did not like (someone calling him a faggot) and openly admitted it... and yet some idiots over there still think he is protecting the site.
