How's our relationships with the imageboards going?

I miss those days when we would be a dangerous force of chaotic energy, where we'd hyperfocus on some target or goal and arrange (and optimize) plans for collective activities through a decentralized and anonymous community.

It showed off the power of numbers, each individual acting independently, yet coordinated with the others in the collective, emergent complexity, order from chaos, one will from that of the many, having the advantages of both individuality and collectivism with a reduction of the weaknesses.

I wish we could turn back time, back to the good old days.

Rip 4chan, 2003-2016. Finally lost their battle with cancer, and grids, and stingrays.

They just wanted to play video games and jack off to Chinese cartoons.

Those were the days... and then it splintered, and now all former /b/tards and /pol/tards are scattered among countless relatively secluded image boards. There are too many stupid people on the internet now. The next board like that will have to exist beyond the reach of intelligence agencies, classical infrastructure, and the hordes of NPCs. I think it'll take a form similar to aether where it's massively decentralized.

There just needs to be one such venue that radically outperforms the rest enough to stick out and become a gathering place. Then we will truly have a place we can call home again.

Did the 4chan community change that much in 2016 that you consider it dead? It seems fairly similar today. I didn't really lurk it that much back then though so my opinion can't be worth too much. But when I think about it you are right in the sense that they haven't really done anything like "he will not divide us" in a while.
