We've had censorious organizations and policies put in place again and again since ww2 ended, they came from the right and from the left, and each was worse than the last, some got repealed, but those were just ahead of their time, overstepping the boundaries of what their bottom up power manipulations were allowing them to do at the time.
It seems that now the population has been sufficiently modified so that they can install some bullshit like this, and you can expect irs power and responsibility to balloon as large as it can, until you are in prison for criticizing the government or not openly agreeing with some blatant lie that they were telling you.
The ultimate goal is power over your minds, their perfect society is a cult where no one can sat or do anything that is not approved by reddit mods, and where those reddit mods are in turn controlled by the wealthy elite, who in turn are under the control of the true masters of the world.
