Carolus Rex by Sabaton in 2012. Released in both Swedish language and English language versions.

It displays pride in one's nation, in one's history (good and bad), and touches upon both the pain and the glory of warfare and greatness.

Hard to say. I like Taake - noregs vaapen. He should be bigger than he is. He performed in germany with a swastika drawn on his chest. In the song "Orkan" he sings "to hell with mohammed and the muslims". Mgla - exercises in futility is probably the best modern black metal album made. Blut aus nord.

Tough call without naming top album(s) from various subgeres. The last decade had a lot of turds, but also quite a few hidden gems.

Hmm, in that case I can think of two standout albums- both recent releases.

Flub - (Self Titled Album). Really weird, off-the-wall, heavily experimental prog/tech death.

Devils of Loudun - Escaping Eternity. These guys have a unique brand of very heavy, proficient tech/death with strong neo-classical leanings.

Idk if I'd say either are album of the decade material, but they're both impressively fresh.

Heard a few Imperial Triumphant songs over the years, but never full albums. Like a really dissonant blackened jazz. IIRC I found them challenging to listen to but might give 'em another go. Haven't heard of Portal but will check them out.
