Do you think 'just love your mom' (you're so stoic and sensible!) is exemplified by someone posting the gut-wrenching abortion center video to a thread about loving your mom - just to intentionally shit on the concept of motherhood?

He actively tried to intoxciate a thread that had a positive intention, and which was celebrating something good, by posting something remarkably bleak where it didn't need to be. An intentional downer, intentionally taking wind out other poster's sails simply to throw this n=1 contradiction in like a clever guy. If you can't reason to his intentions based on what was given in his comment, you're denser than a stone.

I guess I would say that Mothers day is also a way to elevate the ideal, so that women collectively want to achieve and play that role. A way to encourage them to be good mothers.
