Moriarty was a kike. Change my mind.

That is an insult to villains.

He's OK.

A bit squirrely, but not overly so.

I mean, he's retarded, but I wouldn't go full "villain."

You can't take what works for 10-100 like minded people and extrapolate that over a country of millions without having the ability to export the undesirables.

If marx wrote, "From each, according to his abilities, from each according to his needs" it kind of makes sense in a communal way, it's what every one in capitalism does now, per Adam Smith et al. Specialization means "one's abilities." So, if you are a good loom operator or a good mechanic or a good needle maker, you can specialize in that, and use those goods to get food from the guy who is good at farming and husbandry.

It would be silly for everyone to make everything they need again, although there are communes that do this. But even then, its not everyone doing everything - usually someone becomes the baker, someone becomes the clothesmaker, either because they like it or because they are good at it or just because it needs to get done, and someone takes responsibility.

I read somewhere that Bernie Sanders once lived in a commune, but was kicked out because all he wanted to do was have 'meetings' to talk about politics and didn't actually do any work.

This was quite common in the hippie communes in the 1960s and 1970s. I remember many years ago watching a lefty documentary about these communes. One common problem was that all the men wanted to do was fuck, eat, sleep, and talk. The women were doing all the actual work. Eventually most failed because the productive people (minority) realized they were carrying the load for the rest (majority) and quit.

You see a similar dynamic play out if you've ever watched that Bear Grylls series where they put a group of women on an island and a group of men on a different island. Each group faced the same problem of the parasites wanting to run the show, but having no skills or abilities, and taking advantage of those who could produce something.

I saw the first couple of episodes of the Bear Grylls series, the women were hilarious. Didn't they have to split them up, trade some men to the womens group so they wouldn't starve?

I was unable to watch the entire series because I couldn't find later episodes online. I watched enough to see what a shitshow it had become, however. (Reminded me of many a place I worked.) I did come across a discussion of the series someplace where they said the woman were on the verge of dying and there had to be an intervention by men. The vaginacommies were all kvetching about how the show was fake, and that the woman had actually built an island Utopia with fusion energy or some such bullshit. I think they were also working on a joint venture with Wakanda to colonize space.

You have to be able to export the undesirables for true "communism" to work. Hence the idea of the gulag isn't bad, but they took productive people and put them in thre for wrongthink, not for unproductive work. So, a farm worker who is pissed about mangement gets tossed in the gulag, instead of tossing the shitty manger in there. "Undesirable" has to mean, "Useful" and not "who doesn't help me keep in power."
And then, you have to decide how a person can stay "useful" even as they decline. If you can't work fields anymore, you can teach school, or babysit, or mend shoes. Can you imagine how based schols would be with only the elderly teaching?

So was his flipside Ayn Rand. Wish I'd read less of her work.

Her writing was so gauche and trendy

Like getting botox to smooth out the wrinkles in your nut sack

He had one of the coolest and truest quotes ever though.

"Religion is the opiate of the masses"

Its as true today if not more so then when he said it.

Seriously, it boggles the mind how they've been able to turn a simple method for finding the truth of our universe and turn it into a fucking religion.

Opiates are the mass of the religions

As it were

It is a damning testament to the failure of Democracy as a political system, that such incompetent imbeciles are routinely placed into positions of power, granted undeserved authority, and permitted to ruin nations without significant resistance or means of recourse.
Even monarchs or dictators would have faced assassinations or coups long before it got this bad.
Democracy dilutes sense of responsibility, by dividing it among the voters, and creates the illusion of perpetual majority support for anything the government does (even though this is rarely really the case). And so nobody feels both responsible and justified enough to be compelled to do something about it, when the government inevitably loses track of reality and spirals out of control. Everyone becomes complacent and paralyzed. Pacified, by the false promise that the next vote is just around the corner, and surely will make things better.
The true opiate of the masses is not the religion, but the voting booth.

America is a Republic

Or it used to be

It was better as a confederation.

Funny how the people who created the two biggest religions also took over the opioid trade after that terror attack they did a couple decades back, innit?
