Those were probably acquired from a Show Biz Pizza. That and Chuck-e-cheeze were a thing back in the day. I suppose there was a merger or something and they stuck with the mouse theme.

That at least partly explains why they always seemed so broken and awful even from the start! There was one banjo player or something with a hottibly broken hand, where the fingers just flopped around. Me and my brother had some minor laughs, before heading back to the videogames after having scarfed down pizza that appeared to be killing our folks. Good times, or something...

After I replied I got on YouTube and found a video on the history of how those two pizza chains. It was interesting and the narrator made plenty of remarks about how creepy the animatronics were and were the source of nightmare fuel.

It did explain why Showbiz Pizza went away and the ultimate removal of the animatronic shows. Costs of maintenance, making changes to improve revenue losses and probably a bit of the creepiness factor led to the removal. Also, the company that manufactured the Rock-afire Explosion animatronics has the rights to them when the two pizza chains combined and the decision was made to go towards the mouse. Since they had the rights and a surplus of the band figures already manufactured, they sold them to other businesses so that could explain how the place in OP’s video got the whole set up. I would guess that the pizza joint would have scrapped the system rather than sold it but who knows.
