Can we actually have a discussion of how we can improve talk.lol? What changes would you like to see?It is absolutely atrocious.

Yes, I know, I am a nigger kike that needs to go back to reddit / poal. Now that we go that out of the way, people that actually care about a platform where they can share stuff, do you want to have a discussion about what can and needs to be improved?

Your Poal link shows the Voat site. But sure, there are room for improvements. On the other hand, it doesn't seem as awful as you're making it out to be.

5) File sharing

I don't see this as a big issue. Most people have no problem going to a file sharing site on their own and pasting in the link.

6) Branding. Its been almost a year and the VOAT brand is still alive. Can you remind me again why we cant have VOAT anymore?

It's because the creator and owner of this site, "system" (original Voat account, "The_Venerable") used the Voat name and look to attract users, but he couldn't handle the comparisons to original Voat, and after getting backlash after one of his fits of rage banning sprees, he decided the official move to Talk.lol would happen.

In conclusion, you have some valid points, though your post was kinda crap and hyperbolic. But the real issue is "system" in general doesn't work on user requested features, but whatever floats his boat, so you're kinda spitting into the wind here. You might have better luck posting a weekly wish list item (single) than dumping on the site and giving a barrage of items to improve, though even that seems like a longshot.

Adding on to this: easy "formatting help" buttons to get things right the first time when you reply to stuff. Replying under OP you get a "formatting help" dropdown but no buttons, and not even the dropdown under "reply" for anyone else. And sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't.

It looks like you are looking for system to do a lot more on the development side— perhaps in order to grow the user base? Maybe there would be more varied discussions if we were bigger? The vision here is for free speech, which is important but also enables a lot of ways to shit up the place.

Unless that core vision changes by the admins nothing will change. I don't mean that as criticism, just an observation that things are working as intended. Noise to signal might be awful, but at least this place exists and there are some decent users.

I think the improvement you want would be using places like talk.lol to find people and form private groups with a focused vision on who gets to participate.
