That is an interesting psychological phenomenon - some act of "sex" being perceived as a worse than any other violation.

For example, millions can be stolen from people (the rich, obviously) a al Bernie Madoff, and those people suffer maybe a glimmer of shame, and perhaps recurring memories of their ignorance, but society as a whole doesn't belittle them

As Hugh points out - we all sell our time and our bodies (some trades, like electrician and plumber can destroy a body) in exchange for money, and don't think much at all about it.

In 10 years (or sooner) there will be a wave of onlycam whores whose lives are utterly upended by the emergence and persistence of their voluntary acts of debauchery, and half of society will call these "women" persecuted and the other half will shun them as unredeemable degenerates.

And women get a lifelong PTSD pass for being violated in any way, and society calls it "abuse". I agree it shouldn't happen, but how does sex abuse rank above violent robbery and assaults?

The current legal wrangling is to allow victims of child porn photos to sue those "possessing" said pictures because of "lifelong harm" the pictures themselves create. The mere fact that these pictures exist and will continue to exist is seen as causing enough "harm" to the victims that they are able to receive monetary damages from anyone possessing the pictures.

This is not a debate about the technicalities of porn of any kind - just an observation that society as a whole gives way more credence to "sex abuse" compared to other said abuses.

There are revenge porn laws, but no work toward removing any other shaming type websites, is there? Don't people bilked of thousands of dollars wish to also remain as anonymous as possible? (assuming that a website of people falling for scams may or may not exist)

Is a physical "trauma"/embarrassment more damaging than a mental or performance (work) one?

I don't want to pick sides, and definitely do not make light of the trauma incurred by anyone on the wrong side of sexual abuse, just asking the question.
