Between Netflix, Disney losing money, CNN+ shutting down and rumors CNN will purge all activists, FL government fighting and winning against Disney, Elon Musk coming out against SJW's, and now Exxon Mobile banning LGBTQP and BLM flags we are in the pushback phase of this moral panic.

Moral panics last 20 - 30 years and the current one started in 2012 when Anita Sarkeesian debuted on YouTube. During the last one it took 10 - 15 - 20 years for everyone to start pushing back. The last moral panic was a combination of the satanic panic that started because of D&D, the PMRC hating on music, the congressiional hearings against Mortal Kombat and Night Trap,Jack Thompson attacking GTA and all video games, and the MSM and government and religion attacking Doom after Columbine.




It started in 1980 - 1982 and around 1992 - 1994 everyone started pushing back against the religious loonies of the right. They mostly went away around 2000 - 2004 but the GTA lawyer lasted a couple of years longer until he was disbarred around 2007 - 2009. We are i believe currentely in the pushback phase of this current moral panic which started because of Anita Sarkeesian in 2012 so it took 10 years for us to reach this point. SJW's will be around 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 more years but in the next few years you'll start seeing them in less media and entertainment except video games that'll be the last hold out for them but after serious backlash the SJW's will eventually be pushed out of video games.

I upvoted the post because we need more quality content like that and I don't really disagree, but I would have said what you just did. I think of them doing what "they" do as 2 steps forward and one step back. It allows "us" to go through the motions of fighting back and it "working" and yet the train keeps going down the tracks.

I don't know about the other stuff but from people dropping Netflix it is mainly because they are raising their prices a lot AND stopping people sharing accounts across multiple households... so that's why my free Netflix is ending. I finished Gossip Girl ages ago so I'm good, not much worth watching on there.
