It was small. Only 2500 tickets sold, which was nice in a way… if I didn’t have tickets from 2019, I would’ve gone to Resonate instead. It was cold, which was nice. I build epic fires.
We went the Sunday before and there was a festival called Tipper And Friends. It was something like a mix of a rave, EDM, bass music, and Techno all mixed together. It was all 16-30 year old kids. There was over 6000 tickets sold and the people there said that something like 2000 wrist bands were stolen from the vendor so there was way more than the park wanted there.
The fuckers absolutely trashed the place. They were all camping around the lake and on Hippy road. Packed in like sardines. On lord knows what drugs. Thankfully almost no one was in the loop by us. They thought I was a narc because I came in on Sunday. It was amusing as I was eating shrooms like a snack…. They all flew into town, stocked up with tents and coolers at Walmart for the festival and left everything when they left. I scored all kinds of good shit. The one set of kids that was in my site gave me all of their weed and chocolates when they left because they had to fly back to Denver.
The park wasn’t able to finally get everything cleaned up until Wednesday. I’d imagine that is what the place looks like after Hula… no thanks.

The people at the park asked if I would go through the woods back behind the boat ramp in my golf cart to see if there were still stragglers back there. Apparently some were hiding all over the park so they could try to sneak into rising. I highly doubt they let that festival happen there again.

Not sure which spring fest I’ll do next year. I have the pavilion in the loop for rising therefore I don’t want to give it up in case Paul gets a real lineup next year (like 2019).
