I hate that shit. Grew up well below the poverty line and that shit grew wild in the area. We'd go pick grocery sacks full of it, and that and venison or fresh trout were what we ate until the shit died off. My mom would say: Shut up and eat it, people pay good money to eat this very meal." LOL, which finally only seems funny now that I can afford to eat anything I want.

In fancy expensive restaurants these days my wife still orders that stuff at times, and I ritually pick one off of her plate and try to eat it without gagging (much), in remembrance.

Regardless, good job on the cultivation.

We have done quail for years. They are a bit dirty like chickens, so keep away from the house. We normally get 1 male, and 5 or 6 females. Cool thing is they are very quiet and don't take up much space. With a good group of hens, you can get 2 or 3 eggs a day during the summer.
