His name was jewish, his parents names were jewish, they answered a call for jews to register their birthplace, he was raised in the jewish religion, he later became a preacher in that religion, he lived in an almost entirely jewish region and his companions were all jews or helenised jews.

Be honest, if you saw that in an early life section about anyone else would you say "Where's the proof? You're just speculating."? No, of course you wouldn't. The burden of proof is squarely on anyone who wants to claim he was non-jewish.
