Before the new rules take effect, I would like to build a 22 takedown from an 80% base. Any suggestions for such an item? It seems most places are already sold out.
I was looking at exactly the same thing this morning. the two I found were:
tactical machining pike arms
doesn't seem to be that cheap though, especially when you can get a new Ruger (or Winchester Wildcat) for just under $300. the 80% receivers I saw were $150, not including the bits and pieces.
I have always thought that lost wax casting may be a good way to go when making a receiver, but have never been able to try it. might even be able to 3d print a wax model, then use that for the casting.
