When my brother's children were young they used to love to come and visit me in my tiny, middle-of-nowhere town. (They live in a major metro area of the US.) One day I was talking to the kids about what exactly it was that they liked about my town. They said it's so great to be able to go outside and do stuff without needing an adult escort.

I thought they simply liked the freedom of not having to have an adult watching over them all the time. I told them this, but they said it was a matter of safety. They simply knew they were safe in my town versus the leftist shithole in which they lived.

Now they think I'm an out-of-touch, racist weirdo because that is what GloboPedo™ wants them to think.
