Ten years ago I booked a month at a Motel 6. It was nothing special, of course, but it was clean, had a microwave and a mini fridge. I paid twenty-four dollars a night. Things like that give a person an idea on how much they have devalued the dollar, and just in the last 10 years.

Uhhh..... the last time I found a hotel for under $60, it was a curry nigger shitbox in po-dunk Tennessee. It's normal now to paying close to $100 a night for most hotels under normal circumstances.

My last business trip I walked into the hotels and got a room no problem, and they were relatively cheap.

After 4pm the rates tend to drop because they figure nobody else is going to check in, so if they get anything it's better than nothing.
