So fucking grateful for rain right now.

My A/C has been out for two days, it's been hot as a bitch in heat. I try to deal with it stoically, but heat will drive you insane. I'm so happy it's storming right now, right before I go to bed. It was worth the heat to feel this good about rain.

I came across a trick I've not had the need to try yet. Go outside and use the hose to spray down the roof. Supposedly you don't need much water at all to suck a lot of heat out of the structure.

Probably works better in places where the attic isn't as well insulated as newer construction, though, for obvious reasons.
