It's the UI (Screen, buttons) and possibly the computer board.

The portion that contains the cash, the vault, is specifically designed to be so heavy it's difficult to move without special equipment, let alone open without the handshake codes.

I looked it up, turns out that most ATMs actually don't have that much cash in them on a daily basis, usually only a few thousand dollars worth, probably less in a shithole.

So it's entirely possible the interface he's carrying is worth more than the contents of the cashbox, although I doubt he could sell it for anything.

I just assumed that even a day's worth of cash would be a few hundred thousand dollars. I guess it makes sense though: Nowadays most transactions are digital so most people only use ATMs for a few things like taxis and tips where paying by card is awkward.
