My Army Reserve Aviation facility was sponsored by him. They would occasionally trot him out to the unit and he could barely walk. He was as lucid as an Alzheimer’s patient. His entourage was doing everything for him and he was still an active member of Congress.

Ive met David Jolly who filled his seat briefly after he died. Seemed like a nice guy.
