A woman who was asked not to panhandle outside a Pensacola gas station on Wednesday is accused of returning to the store later that day and dousing a clerk with gasoline before throwing lit matches at her until she caught fire.

Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said the clerk suffered "serious, horrific, life-threatening" burns and was transported to the hospital. Authorities have yet to release the name of the clerk.

An arrest report released Thursday stated the clerk had severe burns to her face, neck, chest and arms and was "in extremely critical condition" at the time that she was flown by helicopter to a burn treatment center.

Depends on the operation. China imports them by the boatload to work in low-IQ industries. They're not idiots and wouldn't be doing that unless it were profitable.

I'm all for efficiency and expediency. A simple one-shot-and-done approach has an appeal to my inner planner.

That being said, for egregious cases, or if the family wants to take custody/care of the individual until they can host a public burning, that seems fine so long as the family doesn't attempt to pervert justice or allow the criminal to escape.

This brings in a whole host of issues and things that need time/care/money from the governing authority to take care of and ensure. All of which can be solved with a $0.40 bullet from a local authority.
