I think that athletes agree to a set of rules in order to play whatever sport they sign up for. If they want trans competitions, make a trans league.

Are there rights when there is no agency? Then why do prisoners/slaves get rights?

Are rights only for those of a certain age?

Are the rights of children conferred onto the parents?

Does the issue of fundamental human rights require a definition of a human? (such as age?)

There is common sense and there are rights. I could buy my children guns, but obviously they would not be granted permission to use/touch them until a level of maturity is reached. However, in an emergency, those guns would be very accessible and able to be (and proficiently) used for protection, well below the "18 year old" nonsense.

Do children have the wisdom of experience? Hardly. Does that take away their rights? If that were the case, then most politicians would never be elected in the first place because they have no experience, therefore no right to announce as a candidate, etc.

What about when kids were very gainfully employed during the start of the industrial revolution? Did those kids have the right to earn money and make a living?

Or when in the old west when mid teens would get married and start families - were they not afforded rights?

It's a very big can of worms to open when talking about kids and rights. It is illegal for a parent to neglect a child, for example, so somebody - somewhere - decided there is a minimum standard of care required for kids, ie, a set of rights....

Exactly. Any claim that says the 14th amendment allows for forcing sports authorities to change rules for a specific class also opens the door for anything else that can be "identified" as equal.
