Homeless veterans are overblown. VA tried to tell me I was a homeless vet, when I literally was living in the home I grew up in. Their reasoning? I wasn't paying rent so I technically didn't have my own place. So I was a "homeless vet" while living rent-free at my family's home.

Also anyone who has served in the military in any way shape or form is a "vet". So you can just be a terminal fuckup who was in the airforce for two years during peacetime and still be a "veteran". Numbers are super inflated because they want mo' money fo' dem programs.
