The houses are impractical, you need a retinue of servants to simply maintain the residency from becoming dilapidated.

I'm sure they all fell into disrepute after a recession and most of these gorgeous palatial residencies simply became a money pit, with the walls literally falling down after a decade of neglect.

Turned into various things with the're new (old) moeny (heirs) too broke to do anytuing significant. OR partenerered up with NEW money as weent condo.
