The main proponent of the view that HIV is a harmless retrovirus is Peter Duesberg, the man who discovered the retrovirus. In the late 80s and early 90s, he was vocal about challenging the current paradigm of "HIV = AIDS" as he expressed it in his book "Inventing the AIDS Virus". This is a very large and dense book, but if you can get through it, good for you. There are better summaries of it, however.

I met Peter Duesberg in 1996 in front of the San Diego Public Library where he was handing out copies of a 5.5" x 8.5" stapled pamphlet where in just eight pages he made the compelling arguments 1) that so-called AIDS is not a single disease (which if a fact) but a matrix of numerous diseases, 2) that the diseases are not shared by a single demographic, and thus cannot be claimed to be caused by the harmless retrovirus HIV, 3) that there is no proof HIV can cause any disease, and 4) that the diseases presented to doctors by homosexuals in the 1970s and early 1980s are due to malnutrition and heavy drug use, especially alkyl nitrites, aka poppers, which is a very toxic chemical and is known for causing Kaposi's Sarcoma (which presents as cancerous spots on the legs).

I bought a book a few years later called "Positively False" by Joan Shenton. She has been what the media calls an "AIDS denialist" for decades. She presents fully factual and irrefutable evidence that everything we think we know of HIV is false.

Since I got a good response to my comment, I'll submit a post on the subject give links to books, articles, and videos I've found over the years. There are many good videos on the subject. I have a few I like and I'll see if I can find links to them.

I've received a LOT of pushback from people, even from those who I thought were open-minded, but unlike other subjects I try to open peoples' eyes to, this one is much easier to discuss. Voat being the kind of board it is with the kind of people who are here, should be easier to persuade, if not to change people's minds, but only to ask people to entertain the idea.

That was a lie we were told. In reality it was the AZT therapy suppressing the immune system causing patients to contract diseases.

This is why the life expectancy with HIV was like 7 years in the 1980s, and now it's 65 years (a lifetime). Simply because they've stopped prescribing AZT.

If you get the chance then research the names around AZT, they're all the same as Coronavirus vaccines (Fauci etc).
