Five years ago, Przemek Olejniczak, a psychologist, swapped his smartphone for a Nokia 3310, initially because of the longer-lasting battery. However, he soon realised that there were other benefits."Before I would always be stuck to the phone, checking anything and everything, browsing Facebook or the news, or other facts I didn't need to know," he says.

"Now I have more time for my family and me. A huge benefit is that I'm not addicted to liking, sharing, commenting, or describing my life to other people. Now I have more privacy."

Wow nice! What a great way to stop people from reading race war propaganda. And we can evenn still call them and send them updates and important emergency messages.

This is a self-discipline problem, not a smartphone problem.

Blaming the smartphone for your own actions is like blaming a gun.

Still have an original 3210 that i bought in 2012, fully refurbed, battery holds a good charge, i do still use my one plus 6t but i have lineage on it, no playstore and fdroid is really where my apps come from apart from one or 2 direct downloads. Aeroplane mode is useful, my battery will last 2-3 days with low use. My nokia battery lasts about 5 days when used with my old sim.
