this is definitely not entirely true. a girl i know in hong kong sends me these videos of her flipping off the camera, doing niggers dances with nigbeats playing throughout the video. she isn't even like this, and she doesn't even know what the middle finger means.

if i had to explain it i think we're seeing a distilled exhibit of people's regular behaviors. and we're seeing this because of the simplistic nature of tiktok. prior to something like this, people would always explain away behaviors people had with whatever explanation pleased them (not sure if this is somehow tied to psychological projection, however i have been watching this phenomenon closely, as i never realized how common it was); now people are forced to see, rapid fire, the behavioral patterns of people. and the creators of these videos are getting paid, so the fact that money is changing hands causes a large portion of observers to more accurately observe what they're seeing.

anyways, what i'm getting at is the distilled "image" of the userbase is showing people who are susceptible to easy dopamine hits, which probably indicates these people have other behaviors that cause them problems (as I see no way that this would benefit one over people who do not have a.... ?rapid fire? dopamine addiction) such as impulsive behaviors or addictions.
