Anybody know why wood is still so expensive? $8.25 for a 2x4x8 here. 7/16" OSB $48.

Building houses for the brown hordes crossing the border? There seems to be supply, maybe nobody is buying due to price? I know inflation is going on but I think they are gouging.

Woods not expensive.
Globalists have stripped the value of your earnings and savings through inflationary taxation.

This is prelude to their one world digital currency

I will not be happy. I heard they have brain implants and maybe pills that can trigger orgasms. They want people to hook up to virtual reality and live housing pods. Just another satanic hook to destroy families.

I told commie cunts ten years ago, when they were still talking to humans.
That yes they will all become millionaires but they won't have anything to buy

My supplier said the mills aren't charging much extra so it must be the money changers involved

[ - ] Broc_Liath 2 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 17:37:18 ago (+2/-0)

Shipping is going to be a large part of it. Shipping networks are under huge pressure right now so bulky heavy items are going up in price faster than small cheap things.

[ - ] WhiteGoat 5 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 19:34:46 ago (+5/-0)

Yes but the mill is only 46 miles from home depot. That doesn't warrant a 70% markup

[ - ] Clubberlang 5 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 20:52:20 ago (+5/-0)

Hand rubbing intensifies

[ - ] Broc_Liath 4 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 21:15:50 ago (+4/-0)

Yes, but it has to be shipped to a central home-depot warehouse three states away first, then redistributed to your local outlet. Much more efficient than just driving it up the road. It's called economy-of-scale. If you're not an economist you probably wouldn't understand.

[ - ] WhiteGoat 1 point 3.1 yearsMar 20, 2022 10:04:53 ago (+1/-0)

Basic business economics are pleb level skills. I've seen the mill trucks delivering to home depot. The prices are the same as the mom and pop lumber yards here who do not have central distribution.

[ - ] Broc_Liath 1 point 3.1 yearsMar 20, 2022 10:19:44 ago (+1/-0)

I was joking. If they micromanage their inventory sourcing like that though I'm surprised. Chains rarely do.

[ - ] NaturalSelectionistWorker 1 point 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 23:01:33 ago (+1/-0)

At work we're ordering wood from hundreds of miles away just to have it.

Typical!

Inflation. The price is not going to come down.

[ - ] yesiknow 4 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 15:15:49 ago (+4/-0)

because covid meant they couldn't work lumber mills or transport the wood, so it had to be marked up. That makes sense if you just eat words.

Which coupla jews own the big mills?

[ - ] allahead [op] 0 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 15:55:20 ago (+0/-0)

I'm sure jews are involved but where is all the supply going at these prices?

[ - ] Spaceman84 6 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 16:52:47 ago (+6/-0)

They're slinging $300k homes to niggers and spics as fast as they can build them. Single level homes are built, sold and occupied in as little as a month. Whole neighborhoods full of apes in a year's time. The banks are issuing ARM loans to the niggers as fast as possible before the fed raises rates.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer 3 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 20:19:03 ago (+3/-0)

Loans that will be forgiven, while the niggers sell drugs for money, get welfare, their 9 children paid for, their free sail foams and internets, and their rent paid for when it all turns into section ape housing projects.

All paid for by money stolen from White men.

Setting us all up for another 2008 crash, only I hear this one is going to be worse. Much worse.

Where I live they are building houses on every damn empty lot. I've seen building booms but nothing like this. It doesn't make sense until you understand what is happening in the real estate market with Blackrock and Vanguard.

Useful idiots

They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information, even if you prove that white is white and black is black you still cannot change the basic perception and illogical behavior. In other words, these people, the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible.

[ - ] yesiknow 1 point 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 16:40:09 ago (+1/-0)

I'm just repeating the somberly serious placating expert words we were offered last year when the prices started going nuts.

[ - ] Clubberlang 1 point 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 20:51:35 ago (+1/-0)

I also like repeating the same things over and over again hoping for a different outcome.

You are joking, but I actually grow giant timber bamboo. Gotta adapt to joining the round profile, but the stuff is stronger than 4x4s. "Oldhamii" is stongest variety and grows easy AF with enough water, surprisingly rot resistant too. Let the canes live for 4+ years to harden, dry em out properly, then soak them in a salt+borax bath for 2+ months to treat them. Bam, free timber forever.

We had a fence put in about 8 months ago here in pinellas, white vinyl was basically the same price as using (decent) wood. It’s absurd.

[ - ] eongoat 3 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 17:13:28 ago (+3/-0)

Everything will cost more because energy cost more. Everything rolls by truck eventually and fuel is getting crazy

[ - ] allahead [op] 0 points 3.1 yearsMar 21, 2022 16:06:06 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah they jacked the price up about 18 months ago and it hasn't gone down since. I understand some initial Covid fluctuations but nothing was hit as fast, hard, and consistently as lumber. I personally think "they" are trying to keep individuals out of the housing market.

[ - ] Not_C 2 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 18:17:27 ago (+2/-0)

Lumber can easily be sold overseas.

That 2x4 isn't necessarily more expensive, it's that your money is worth far less. Inflation always hits the easily exportable things first.

[ - ] Banana_Who1 2 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 16:58:02 ago (+2/-0)

The mega-corps who sell it know the US dollar will collapse, so they want foreign currency on hand.

Creating a manufactured manufacturing crisis by making the source of manufacturing prohibitively unaffordable.

[ - ] Broc_Liath 1 point 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 17:36:20 ago (+1/-0)

Disruption to the supply chain. Wood is still being chopped and processed, it's just expensive to ship anything anywhere right now. Large bulky items in particular.

[ - ] Steelerfish 0 points 3.1 yearsMar 20, 2022 12:13:50 ago (+0/-0)

Wood is racist.

[ - ] heygeorge 0 points 3.1 yearsMar 19, 2022 15:57:06 ago (+0/-0)

Because the demand is there, and the market will bear the price. Also the sawmills like making lots of money.
