As many of you know, Discord's new Terms of Service go into effect on March 28th. The new terms of service ban certain kinds of speech and behavior; even if they occur off of the platform.
Some of us anticipate the possibility that this could co-incide with mass account deletion based on previous user posts. It is possible Discord has already flagged our accounts and servers for deletion on that date. It probably won't happen, but if it does we're ready for it.

The epic chad Wowbagger has shelled out for a new private Matrix server, and all goats are invited. Feel free to bring non-goats also, but they likely will not be invited to the private goats-only space, but can make their own if they wish.

If you do not currently want to switch from Discord to Matrix, we suggest that you save this information in the unfortunate event that you are forced to change your mind later.

Most unresolved issues that users regularly encountered on Serendipity's Goatpen Matrix server have already been resolved by Wowbagger on the new "Fuck Off, We're Full" server, so we anticipate a mostly smooth transition. However, Wowbagger is currently still tweaking things. So in the unlikely event the server loses your account information due to a server wipe, please just re-make your account and join again.

Many Goatpen Matrix users (even tech savvy ones) had difficulty creating an account on the old Goatpen homeserver, so I am including illustrated instructions in the link above for account creation. It's not actually hard. Most users on the old server just overlooked a single step that led to some annoyances.
