I don't use Mac, but I can tell it must be a shit OS by the fan bois in here that accidentally proved it themselves.

Two comments of "just memorize all the keyboard commands." One with a boomer insult. I thought Apple made UIs that were easy for novices. Instead, "just open up a terminal and write a script for it, nOoB pwned!" LAWRZ

Another of "know Linux and FeeBSD" or you will hate it. I thought Apple made UIs that were easy for novices [on repeat].

The "I am an absolute expert at Y but I still prefer Z over X (not Y)" tactic guy. I would like to hear from a MacOS Server admin for comparison.

E: I also loved the intuitive way to eject a floppy in the 90s by dragging the floppy icon to the trash can.

Well said, Gaydragon. The ease of use is why I really enjoy my iPhone of a Droid, but I cannot use my wife's mac. It just sits on a shelf reminding me that women are retarded, and only want it because of the price tag.

Got a few of those myself. Most frustrating when I have to remove all her pictures because the memory is full and no micro SD to transfer them to from her ridiculously high priced low function phone. All the while I'm telling her how much better Android is for all the many reasons and her usual stock answer "yeah but Apple is better", because that's what her friends have. Well, I didn't marry her for her brains.

I use MacOS all day at work. It's 10x a better OS than Windows. If you don't know Linux & FreeBSD then you will hate MacOS but don't worry, pretty soon you won't be able to create a local account on Winblows without an internet connection.

As a Windows Server admin who administered that OS for over 12 years, MacOS is light years better.

Came here to say this. I do not love Mac but it is better than windows. I also use it at work and access to a Unix based terminal makes all the difference.

OP is just complaining because they do not know how not click full screen on a window.

Apple does suck, their shit is all planned obsolescence garbage.

But newer windows OS literally has globohomo art embedded in the OS UI, forced OS updates (I can just ignore the system updates on mac, at least for a long while until my job complains), slow boot time, cmd is gay, etc

Either way, if you are not using Linux for your personal computer, you really don't have a say in which OS is better or not, you simply are just accustomed to different flavors of shit.

Now that I've moved on, tossed a mini mac that they slowed down to unusability with an upgrade and loaded Linux on an old windows box, I never use or see mac or windows: I can now say with assurance that using either Macs and windows for an os is gay.

Worked a Contract with Apple for a few years.

Its garbage, there is no supported enterprise software for doing anything you expect from an office environment.

So paying a few million to use unapproved JAMF because there is no other way to meet demands of output.

Machines themselves are overpriced and overweight but you can just dual boot windows and never touch the cancer that is MacOS.

Unless of course you are a vendor working for Apple. Then by contract you will have to purchase Mac's garbage devices to get access to the customer database software(AppleConnect).

So the entire real world reason for Apple to continue selling MacOS products is probably 90% sales to its own vendors. Users(Apple Promoters, as Apple called them((I call them faggots)) are the least of their concerns.

Mac is trash. Everything that needs to be done on that faggot OS needs Apple's approval, as the top one which I can remember is 32Bit support. That kike company simply axed the code, making all the old apps obsoleted. Then now they shifted to ARM trash which makes old x86 code slowly die out once their transition is done.

Then you have the biggest elephant in the room, BGA trash hardware, everything is fucking soldered. You pay $1500+ for a pile of shit which you cannot even service, SSD, RAM, CPU, GPU all are soldered, Keyboard is glued hard. Battery as well, so you pay more always and get less performance. All the Starbucks Soy Chugging faggots love this shitty company and their trash products because of consumerism.

Computing in general peaked out ten years ago, just before everything went mobile.

Mac used to have a nice clean OS ten years ago. Now they are far worse and riding off of the coat tails of their success. All this diversity hiring turned a decent OSes into a shit shows.

I had to buy a mac for my childs private school. Required because the school wants laptop conformity. Paying a premium for less performance sucks, but I understand the schools logic.
Prior to that,he and I built a dual ubuntu windows box. Added windows only so he could play minecraft.
Ive since reapropriated spare parts from my childrens "gaming sytems" and loaded linux Mint. I really like mint with only one exception.

Not sure what you were using but it doesn’t sound like macOS. How much other crap did they have installed on it? If they have Flash installed then I’d say get rid of that crap first because it’s a resource hog.
