I'm not sure. I stopped using it a while ago bc it was low traffic, and I went to make an account there and the url doesn't work anymore. Maybe they moved?

The admin disappeared and the certificate for their other site has expired, which was on the same privately-run server. General consensus among goats is that he died.
I tested it but nothing seemed to work. There was a newcomers room with no activity or instruction (for vetting etc). Tried to dm someone and that failed too, so I gave up. The newcomer room only had 4 people join in the last year so I'm guessing if it IS a thing, it's probably pretty dead.
Give it a bit. Like you said, it's a slow room and it's kind of become the default fallback/intro room; everyone else has either migrated to Discord or to one of several (dozen?) rooms.
Do you have a verified Searchvoat account? That could help things.
What's a verified search voat account? If that involves providing an email I will not do that as you can't get an email without another email address, and it all trickles up to requiring a phone number which is tied to your identity.

Searchvoat stepped up and sent out verification codes to every active user at the time so they could have their Searchvoat accounts tied to their Voat accounts. This made it so we had a way to know if someone was the original account holder after the site went down. Searchvoat also became a forum as part of the transition.
Nah, I periodically delete my online accounts anyway. Use different usernames too. I don't need permanent history all over the web. Downside is that I get called out for having a new account and therefore a glowie. But I don't really give 2 shits.
