in europe there is no free speech. They banned all the russian news media, we could be infested by their lies. 'Lies' according to the western media, that is.
Were they not retarded tech niggers, they would have set up an official SSL CA for creating client certificates.
Then, given an existing occasion where identity is verified (such as renewing passport or driving photocard), people can also get client certs for their devices. Opting to present the cert upon connection to a website then demonstrates identity ownership without revealing any pictures or official documents.
Sure there are a few hurdles such as preventing use of the cert if a device is stolen, but the point it can be made to work. In that example, surely the grid path system for unlocking a mobile device could also be purposed as a SSL key passphrase.
Not to legitimise the government arguments though, which neglect user choice in the matter of whether one wants to present ID proof to metaberg. I'm just addressing the tech deficiency.

This is why they're hilariously inept, fatuous old morons.
I'm sure they really thought and still think their corporations like facebook, twitter and reddit are the internet and can operate like a defacto government.
Every government agency has websites with email. But they all have to have twitter accounts. It's a waste and it's dumb as shit.
Globohomo corporations tell you to contact them on globo homo social media instead of by email. So you're forced to open an account and make them more money.
Reuters sticks a twitter caption in every news report, because they're desperate to keep it going.
And who fucking cares? Billions sunk into it and only irrelevencies give a shit about it. People who use it either won't admit it because they're embarrassed, or the amount of globohomo bots is 95%, with a bunch of people paid a rupee each to be ann smith in decatur.
The internet is a just a small accessory to the average life.
In terms of child safety, vigilanty pedo hunters clearly show that existing systems can be used to protect children. If this was their genuine concern they would plough money into infiltrating rings, would ensure sentences were appropriate and would address sex trafficking.
As if politicians are going to give child sexual assault.
They are just gaslighting us again, trying to convince us its a good thing to give up our freedoms to protect each other with covid, the environment or now kids.
They don't give a damn about kids or else they would do exactly as you say and spend dollars too catfish actual child predators.

I would like to agree but cant fully. In the past I would have. There is doxxing and hacking. As well as the problems that arise from multi site stalking. These days site moderation likes to involve itself in drama and censor people or stop site / service functionality, deplatform, demonetize, and so on. When it affects your income, cuts off communication from friends and family, or destroys your creations thats a big deal. Still I would say if a kid is too immature to be on the internet unsupervised then they should either be supervised by their parent or stay off it. Its not a thing for the government to touch at all for any reason.
IDK I do all right when I just assert myself and tell people to fuck off, but I'm old enough and active enough in community that people know me and my abilities.
