WTF is going on in Texas? There are more and more stories of bullshit sprouting up from the state- the dad losing custody for not transitioning his kid, for example.

Their Governor is a farce. Houston is the murder capital of the US, if not the continent… Austin is basically a hot version of Portland.

Of course the point of that law is to prevent a shitty business from opening with insufficient parking, causing customers to clog up neighboring businesses.

Perhaps there's a lot we don't know. Business' having parking based on the employee and square footage isnt unheard of.

He should have been aware of the regulations for operating an auto business when he opened up. It's a legitimate interest of the city to make sure businesses provide enough parking. Presumably the city thought their regulation was "reasonable" when they set it up, and, frankly, it doesn't sound unreasonable to me. Most auto businesses need a lot of parking.

Yes. Without those regs you get chinatowns where cars have to back into busy streets, kids get run over, fender benders happen every day, and you might have to wait for someone to finish their happy ending so they can move their car enough for you to leave.
