This man is an idiot... He paid for the Vodka already, which was already imported from Russia, so they've long since had the money for it... It doesn't "hurt" Russia in any way...
If you want boycott Russian Vodka, then DON'T buy it, simple as that...
But if you buy Russian Vodka to just pour it out, you may as well hire a hooker just to go and masturbate in the bathroom, because while someone is still getting fucked, it's just you fucking yourself...

"Russian Standard" is the best quality for cost I've found in a brand. Easily the best vodka is home-distilled, I've had batches from 3 different hobbyists that were way better than anything at the store. Something to do with home brewers not adding in MK Ultra type chemicals.

Good on ya, it's a great low-effort crop to leave fallow too, depending on the variety.
Far as I know most distillers don't even bother with the taters though, they just use em for flavor. Pure Dextrose is cheap and makes a great vodka. It keeps for ages and is a nice little store of value in the bunker.
Brewing/distilling is great fun to practice and a hugely valuable skill should SHTF.
