On aliexpress you just dispute it in situations like this and they have always found in my favour with little hassle.

The thing is you wait for weeks or months for a thing (like a romper) and then to get a fish would be hilarious but so infuriating.

There are certain things you can buy from China with moderate confidence, and somethings should never be bought.

Anything baby related should be avoided - poisons and toxins in the materials, low quality for safety, dangers - either direct or indirect due to quality, etc.

Also items that come in contact with food/drink/dishware should be avoided, as leeching can be a big concern.
