My grandfather worked at Lockheed/skunkworks on the SR-71

My grandfather worked on all sorts of cool things too; I know he designed specific thingers of... something on the B-1, and also the Nike-Ajax missile. And there's a museum about two blocks from me that has some decommissioned Nike-ajax missiles, which I find tremendously nifty.

Great stuff. They've brought you up well. This summer I have some trips planned to aerospace museums. Also want to take a roadtrip to a Titan missile silo museum I just recently heard of. The Nike Ajax was cool. Was a cutting edge solid rocket design at the time and led to later solid propellant ICBMs and SLBMs

I'm particularly partial to their really cool mechanical inertial guidance systems.
