Maximum effective range for 7.62 in an AK-47 is 150 Meters. That's the shit end of the deal. You'd never use a rifle for less than 150 meters. Maximum effective range for anything firing 9mm is going to be worse than 150 meters. Just use a hand gun if you want to use 9mm. Use a real rifle if you want rifle performance.
