I will NEVER understand the lack of awareness people have when speaking of Sweden. Maybe most people are incapable of "putting yourself in someone else's shoes", or true real empathy.... or simply incapable of understanding how consequences work.
But when discussing the simple formula "Sweden was a beautiful country filled with peaceful happy people, who had very little fear of leaving their homes.... then they began to bring in a certain group of people, and after this change, the country had a huge rise in crime (and the worst kind, rape and murder), and the country stopped being seen as it once had been, and instead people in many parts of Sweden had trouble leaving their homes without feeling scared. That group of people happen to have black/dark skin, but it shouldn't matter, because its clear that one thing is related to another. Do you understand what I'm saying and agree this is how consequences work?"

And the person you're telling this to insists on arguing with you that it has nothing to do with the people invading the country.

So for shits and giggles you ask them, "ok fine, so what else had changed prior to the increase of crime, that you can blame this rise in crime on???" And they babble and reply "it doesn't matter. Its racist to blame the refugees".

And there you have it, they don't even understand what a true refugee is or what their life was like and they don't want to hear anymore about why these changes have happened.

So, trying one last argument, you ask them by painting them a detailed gruesome scenario, what they would feel, if they lived in a town filled with people who all had something in common, not skin but something like "you all enjoy wearing blue hats", and a group of people are imported who don't wear blue hats, and have very different ideologies of how to live life and what to do to survive, and you come home one evening from working out in the fields and walk in on your wife and 2 daughters, 1 son and even your dog,, being raped by a pack of 5 of these new people that showed up. Would you kindly wait for them to finish ravishing your loving family and then offer them hot towels to clean up? Or would you perform acts of medieval justice on them swiftly?"

And typically the persons response is that those events happen so rarely that its not even worth talking about. So you insist, ok fine, it doesn't happen to any other family, only yours. Would YOU continue to be warm and welcoming to this new group of people with everyone else?

By now, because most of these mentally challenged liberals have low attention spans, you'll be met with a blank face and a clear indication that this idiot wants to desperately check their phone.

Things like "unraveling the cultural threads of the country" and "straining the welfare system". Then they make a retarded comment like "even though all of these issues predated immigration".
