Jordan Peterson: I never thought he would fuck up so bad

Think what you want about Peterson, if nothing else, he is rational and well spoken.

For what its worth.

Nothing he said was wrong, but people like him exist to keep you talking about the things they want you talking about and not what they don't. Plenty of mention of how our society is controlled. 0 mention of who's actually in control.

(apologies for ranting)

Your observation is important. I have such an ambivalent impression of JBP, and it has been that way for years now. He is inarguably smart. He will say things that resonate with fundamental truths, at a deep level, and which often play to the values of a conservative audience. To those things I'll say, "This guy has the right idea." Then he will go and do a lecture and literally cry over the atrocities against Jews in the Holocaust, despite the fact that in the same speech he mentions 60 million deaths in Bolshevik Russia without ever saying a word about white Christians, or about the Jewish makeup of Bolshevism.

I'm even ambivalent about the reason why he does this, for example, when he rejected outright the audience question about Solzhenitsyn's discussion of Jewry in Two Hundred Years Together. I wonder if it is because Jordan knew that addressing these issues would cut short his rise to stardom? Or does it mean that he is part of a controlled opposition effort, placing him in a position to be a pressure release valve? I lean toward the former most of the time. I think he wanted fame and attention, and to 'go there' would be like having a Toyota that was transforming into a Maserati, but you run it into a brick wall before it can finish.

I thought his 5-min mini speech titled 'A Message to the Truckers' was a barely concealed request to end the protests. Just more ambivalence. On the one hand, here is Jordan criticizing the government. He has allowed truckers to appear on his channel to voice their demands. On the other hand, in the video I mentioned Jordan says that reasonable people will start leaving now, leaving a higher majority of extremists 'holding the line'. This is based on Jordan's opinion that most restrictions at the provincial level are being downgraded so the protest has 'mostly won'. So if some people don't agree, namely because the vaccine mandates that spurred the movement to begin with haven't been lifted, then Jordan is setting up the interpretation that the truckers who remain are extremists.

That, to me, sounds like a way to simultaneously be the conservative 'muh guy' while also having the out:

Well, didn't I say that, psychologically speaking, that is to say roughly, extremism would rise as a function of time?

I mean, I know several people who basically aligned themselves against (and ridiculed) 'conspiratorial thinking' because of their Jordan Peterson fandom. Yet what Jordan Peterson is stating here, in five minutes time, is a straightforward conspiracy theory. More ambivalence. Does Jordan's usual admonition, for everyone to stop criticizing high-lvl facts and work on their own low-lvl facts, apply in this case? Or is it fine to trash the hierarchy in this case? If hierarchy is the answer to everything, how does Jordan want to explain that the highest levels of it here are as corrupt as he agrees they are?

It's as if all of JBP's ordinary talk about the ontology of hierarchies/status is held separately in the minds of his fans from his actual politics (from his real assessment of practical matters). Whereas I see the inconsistencies, and this makes me skeptical.

All good points.

I think he avoids the JQ like the plague because he knows exactly what will happen to him if he doesn't. I don't think he has the same understanding as we do, but understands more than your typical normie. You have to remember that, conservative as he may be, he still has spent a lifetime in acedemia where centrists are treated as extreme right wingers.

I've never been on the Peterson train, but I've watched a good number of his interviews and lectures and have taken from them what they are worth, and many of them are quite valuable.

No way he could have read as much Solzhenitsyn as he has and not know (((who))) was behind it.

Yeah, I know the lecture referenced above where he is asked point blank about jews and he takes a long pained moment of consideration about how he can respond and comes to the realization that there is nothing he can get away with saying. He knows.

Yu may want to consider how very much you sound like the lady who's just had her palm read by a fortune teller.

They use the same techniques.

I can only tell you that he redpilled two of my work colleagues who were pretty leftists and whom I gave up upon. At least they recognize now some of the most obvious truths, like that communism doesn't work and that IQ matters and it's different between groups. If he maxes his power level, he'll get shoaded and nobody but us will ever heard anything from him again. That would be a bad strategy, IMHO.

They strongly believe in the effect of suggestion by what they call "influential" people. The entire point of having a star system in hollywood where dumb actors were set up like luxury icons wasn't just to sell the movie. It was so they could sell products and the product now is slavery and genocide.

Peterson is supposed to be more influential than your father. The truckers are supposed to do as he says. Three out of five dentists (actor in lab coat) recommend this brand. That isn't advertising, it's kabbalah. People bought whatever toothpaste was less and not disgusting. Recognizing the name helps, but the jews think the fake dentist worked.

Peterson is just an average egomaniac with jewish media coverage.

He has books to sell, it would be financial suicide to do so. We can be anonymous online, he can't exactly explain 'gas the jews', buy my new book.
