Irish Sundae

submitted by PeckerwoodPerry to Cooking 3.2 yearsFeb 16, 2022 14:59:31 ago (+20/-0)     (Cooking)

Got some pieces of rare ribeye leftover from last night. What do? I'm about to tell ya.

Bake a potato.
Get some beef broth or bone broth heating up. Don't have any? Why not?
When your potato comes out of the oven, put your leftover beef in the hot broth. (Cut it up in chunks, fucking animal. Why do I have to tell you this?)
Let that beef cook in the broth for about two minutes. If it's medium you fucked up. Call your mom, tell her it's time to get picked up.
Beef goes on the potato with butter, shredded cheese, sour cream, and hot broth.
It's ready now. You can eat it. It's good.

Did the 4chan chef find his way onto Voat? Your sundae needs more lobster

Would it be tastier if you seared the beef first? Maybe saute it with onions and deglaze with red wine, add to stock, and simmer til done? Or add a touch of demi-glace as well?

Are you simmering or boiling the beef?

I'm not familiar with the dish so maybe there are rules but this would be better I think if done like that.

I seared the beef the night before when I had it for dinner. This is just a quick meal before work.

I have six (two packages of three) third-pound wagyu beef patties. Naturally, I'm planning to make burgers with them. Any advice?

Yeah.

Make burgers with them.

Is there a vegetarian hack to this recipe?

Yep, instead of starting with a potato just go tie some 1/4inch nylon rope to a tree. Use the tag end to tie a noose about two feet higher than the top of your head. Get an appropriate sized stool to stand on so your head comfortably fits inside the noose. Kick that stool out from under you.

Are you being:

A: sarcastic?
B: facetious?
C: retarded?

Careful; your reputation is on the line....

It was not meant to be taken seriously.

I am a vegetarian though.

[ - ] RomanSalute 0 points 3.2 yearsFeb 17, 2022 05:01:56 ago (+0/-0)

How many days a week?

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3.2 yearsFeb 17, 2022 08:34:40 ago (+0/-0)

I am not meant to be taken seriously 7 days a week.

Seriously though Ive been vegetarian for a long time.

Meat has zero appeal to me.

don't bother baking potatoes.

make jacket potatoes.

oven, preheat, 400f.

potatoes, cut a + or x about a quarter or half inch deep on one side.

rub with oil and large grain salt.

once oven is ready, in, right on the racks.

2 hours, use something heat proof and crack open (or cut again) the potato, should be very steamy.

bake another 15 minutes.

you're welcome

Also: If you don't have any beef leftover from last night's meal you can substitute new beef.

[ - ] QuasiVoat 1 point 3.2 yearsFeb 16, 2022 16:32:04 ago (+1/-0)

Belly laugh. Thank you.
