Yes, Putin has grown older and fatter.. but there is just too much difference between how Putin used to look and how he looks now. To me, it does not look like the same person.
Nah, it's the expression, angle, and lighting that is playing tricks on your eyes. He gained weight. Plus the fact that people change when they get older (gain weight). Not everyone looks the same their whole life. This is very true when you see pictures of people when they were kids. Many people look much different with age.
