Cushions in the trunk. Couch on the roof. Windows down, doors closed, two strap the couch down over the top of couch and through the windows. Jump in to the car through the windows, because you cant open the doors now. Drive home.

Look at the car. It has a curved roof so they can't strap anything to it without a roof rack.

If you turn it and dip down you might be able to wedge it half way in, then secure with some line.

On those couches the cushions are usually a good bit taller than the back. So take those off and take the legs off (they usually just screw off or at worst you need an allen key) and it miiiiigh just squeeze in.

They're still idiots though. I always measure the piece and the car I'm fitting it into before I move furniture if it looks like it won't fit. If not I bring a trailer.
