Never seen a gym-chime before.

The tye-dye crocks are a nice touch...along with the baseball bat.

I see a wheelchair and a lot of back and spine issues in that guy's future.

I try to tell the young bucks I work with that

Yes, your muscles may be able to handle the stress of lifting all that weight, but the tissue wall keeping your guts in place may not

More importantly, is the unrepairable stress and damage to the spinal cord. The spine is not made to take that kind of a load. (And neither is the rest of the body.) People think that if they don't feel an injury they didn't get one — so they are fine. What they don't realize is the cumulative damage they're doing to their body that will show up one day.

If you want to be a competitive weightlifter for some inexplicable reason (I mean, what's the point?) then by all means do what it takes to compete. But if you want to actually build up your body to be stronger and more useful then stick with realistic exercises. A rule I learned with lifting — or exercise in general — is don't do anything you wouldn't actually do IRL.

[ - ] FalseRealityCheck 2 points 2.2 yearsFeb 13, 2022 19:27:46 ago (+2/-0)

He's grunting and stressing so hard that he literally squeezed all the seed oil out of his balls.
