I don't get this saying. Why respect them more than the mechanic who could snip your break lines? The builder who could make your house fall down on you? Your plumber who could put poison in your pipes? The bus, truck, tractor or taxi driver who could "accidentally" drive you over? Low skilled fast food workers should get the amount of respect they deserve, which is lower than all of the ones i mentioned.
