One facet of this that i find intriguing is the fact that canadian provinces can vote to leave canada. This was put into place after some first nations armed insurrections a few decades ago, though never used. The western provinces have been bearing the financial burdens of the eastern provinces for quite some time, especially alberta and saskatchewan. Who would like to welcome the 51st and 52nd state to the US? Fuck BC, they can keep that liberal shothole.
It goes back and forth depending on oil.when manufacturing is strong and oil tanks ontario and quebec pick up the bill. No doubt Alberta could stand on its own but bc cannot its a welfare state and sask isnt built up enough the dont have the logestics to stand alone.

The U.S. government hasn't totally gotten their way. State's rights have a lot of power which causes life to not be as bad and people can continue with life without having to say enough is enough. You have to have a breaking point and America doesn't have one. Canada is having one right now. Basically what the communists groups in America did in major cities across America for their commie beliefs, the Canadians are now doing in Canada with their conservative beliefs except their movement is not funded by their leftists government.
