That's dream-like and disconcerting. I went grocery shopping the other day and decided to pick up some Arizona Gold frozen burritos and they were completely gone. The only ones left were the Jose Ole dog food brand. A ton of stuff was missing up and down the entire aisle.
A worker was rearranging things and I overheard him talking with a manager that they were just trying to make everything look as filled out as possible. I'm surprised people haven't started panicking yet.
(Yes I know frozen burritos are not good for you but I was feeling lazy.)
Most everything will grow without fertilizer, obviously just not as much.
Is it a 10x reduction in harvest? 2x?
Based on seed cost and planting/spraying, what would be a potential total cost?
Getting some of a rare crop could definitely be more profitable than planting a LOT of the same thing everyone else is going to plant, making the selling price very low.
Save your egg shells and potato peelings. Oh and animal carcasses like chickens and fish. Raise chickens too and use them to turn your compost and add to it.
