They are just forcing alternatives. They need our wages to go to banks for many reasons. if i were debanked i would be cashing my checks and they couldn't track anything, i'd be paying my bills in person with dollar bills, etc. it actually sounds like quite a bit of fun.

that is a policy that works right now, but no employer is going to fires someone over that policy. hell, i bet many bosses would allow direct deposit to their own personal accounts and cash it out rather than losing a worker.

When their pool of employers starts drying up I'd bet such decrees do as well. If no one wants to work for the boss that demands urine tests, the drug tests are soon phased out. The thing is whether enough flip him the birdie to cower him.

I flipped Chase Bank the Big Birdie a year after they swallowed up Washington Mutual (then started charging me a monthly fee), and went to the credit union where free checking still lives. I can't hardly believe how many idiots prefer to give up free checking rather than take on the minor hassle of switching to a credit union.
